There are a zillion West Coast Swing Dance Events held across the country every year. Some of these competitive events are governed by one or more National Affiliations. Some of these events are held by and governed by the host club rules.
Descriptions below are guidelines of what each National Affiliation means to the event that is a member of it.
AANCE: Americas Amateur Novice Championship Events (Tour Event)
Purpose: The The main purpose of the Americas Amateur Novice Championship Events is to promote and preserve the art of West Coast Swing Dancing and its many related regional styles.
Mission: Our mission is to offer a National Competition Circuit for all styles of Swing for Novice and Intermediate Swing level dancers only.
The Americas Amateur Novice Championship Events is the only Amateur Novice level Swing dance circuit in the country.
The Americas Amateur Novice Championship Events, AANCE, is governed by a Board of Directors.
The primary responsibility of the Board will be to host the National Championship, determine Official Competition Rules, set up Judging Procedures, and approve New Competition Venues.
